A wonderful, contemporary single storey rear extension to an existing 1920's semi-detached property in the Nether Edge Conservation Area. The back of the house was fully opened up with a full width extension designed to create an expanded kitchen-dining-living and utility spaces. A large full width triple-panel sliding window was used to provide a better connection, better light and views to the delightful garden setting beyond. A new full width roof light was also designed, sat above the exposed ceiling allowing natural light back into the house. Externally stained timber cladding (Thermowood) was used as cladding, providing a really crisp, modern and sustainable approach to the extension.
