The clients for this project; a couple with two young children, had recently moved to Sheffield and bought this semi-detached house in Dore Village in a very poor condition requiring a full scheme of modernisation throughout.
JCA were approached to come up with ideas for a two fold approach; firstly to consider a full scheme of modernisation (at ground and first floors) including the removal of load-bearing walls at ground floor to create a new open-plan kitchen-dining space and secondly; to add a small affordable extension at ground floor to create a larger dining/social space opening up to the wonderful south facing garden.
As further funding has become available, JCA are currently now looking at a larger, contemporary two storey side extension with an expanded single story rear extension and garage conversion/home-work studio.
