With a young child already and another on the way, the clients on this project approached JCA to draw up designs and plans for a new two storey extension.
The final approach was to create a large, single, open-plan kitchen-dining-living space to the south facing rear of the property, a new 'snug' at the front with a central utility zone between this room and the new kitchen. At first floor a new bedroom and bathroom were added. We also proposed 'sun-pipes' at the first floor landing to maintain a degree of natural daylight into this area, as the existing side window was omitted as part of the work.
Some great detail was added as part of the fit out, both within the new kitchen and bathroom areas.
